This software is great for designers but also HTML and other code buffs. Half of it works like a WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get), the other half as a html editor. You can also switch between the two!

NVU (pronounced ‘N-view’) is a free, open-source WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) web design application. It gives you the option to work in a design layout or edit your html directly (same as Dreamweaver), and is generally credited with producing clean and reliable code.
